Feverishly, he scoured the earth for light and the chance to see. Haunted by the darkness that shrouded him, the blind man stumbled over searing sand and shrub. Exhausted, he finally fell and joined the surveying scorpions and Sidewinders.
Twenty-four hours later, in that desert of delusion, the burnt and broken young man awoke to the constant sun. Lifted by swirling winds and now tranquil lungs, he rose anew. In a heartbeat, he tilted his head up, surrendered his locked eyes, and took flight to the light.
