Poseidon commands the sea
On chariot and golden horses
With a trident for seething storms
And a glance for peace
His river encircles the globe
Capriciously, he heaves the earth from under
Furiously, back to sea, it is hurled
Beguiling to a bewitched boy
Observe the surface of this surge
As with Neptune, there is no other
Lucid and shimmering is her velvet peel
But pity the blind for the sea swirls sinfully below
Grace consumes a lad
As her ripple lifts and sets
Into her sly wet net
His clean hands are drawn then drowned
As the nymphs near
Immersed in the their hushed hypnotic croon
Voluptuous bubbles swarm his eyes and ears
Whispers can woo a man too
Beneath the sweeping swell
Wrapped in her beguiling spell
Alas, man and boy are swallowed whole
Into the wily world of Aprhodite
