Absent are the sun, moon, and stars.
I am stranded, scanning the back of my eyelids as I plunge my fingers and blustering thoughts into the cooling sand of dusk, curling and clawing through beached memories to find something to embrace, one grain of God to grasp, hoping to find the page of me that long ago blew over golden dunes and washed into continents of sea.
At the edge of this invisible shore, soulful whispers wrap and awaken me now, drawing my listening to a forgotten time and place where the light of moons and stars would never dim or disappear.
